Definitely does what I need. a stand that supports a 13 inch laptop I think. Definitely not disappointed! I use a keyboard and mouse tray and now my table has 3 tiers instead of two. I don't understand those who get this for their desk and then complain that their laptop is too big for their hands lol It fits my little pro but not my Mbox Pro 3 which hangs a bit over the edge And You definitely can't put a shelf underneath it unless it has a lot of clearance or fits between the legs, which have a sloping vertical edge.
