Review on 🎨 48-Pack KOH-I-NOOR TOISON D'OR 8516 Soft Pastels in Cardboard Packaging for Artists by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great price in pretty hard pastel colors

These pastel colors offer excellent value for money. This is a "hard" soft pastel, not much softer than nu pastel. To me, they have about the same staying power as Blick's own brand. The pastel set of 48 has a nice range of colours. The only downside is that the plastic sleeve that each pastel comes in had to be cut off with a knife - you just can't peel it off with your fingers. I think even professional artists would be happy with this set. I have a couple of Unison sticks and they are impressive (almost "oily") but expensive.

Pros
  • KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH as is one of the world's leading manufacturers and sellers of premium stationery for artists, schools and offices, made from 100% FSC wood.
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
