I've tested many portable monitors, and most of the ones I've tested recently require USB cables for brightness. Usually one USB-C is for data and the other is for power! This screen can go bright with just one cable on a machine with the right power! I was able to test with two different laptops and get full brightness, the third old laptop didn't seem able to provide all the power needed and the screen just wouldn't get about 75% brighter anymore. When I connect a second USB-C for power delivery; The screen automatically goes to 100% brightness (which is nice). The only downside for me is that the screen doesn't remember settings every time it's unplugged. so no matter what I change in the menu; It seems to reset every time I turn the screen off completely. That's a bummer. For this reason I put it back in the box after my first trip where I used it for work as it is about the same size as my current "everyday laptop". Viewing angles are very good and colors are fairly accurate and vibrant. , I would say the screen hits a full brightness of over 300 nits, but I don't have a meter for specific testing. Not sure what "eye care" is, but it seems like it just dims the brightness and changes the colors a bit.
