It seems to be done!

The neighbor's dog kept barking when the owners weren't home. They tried to tell the owners that they should do something, but they argued that "it's just nature" and their dog "should be allowed to roam free". Well, instead of escalating a confrontation, I decided to give it a try by placing it in front of the window. I have to say the barking has stopped! The installation is quite simple, I have it on the porch at the maximum level. The microphone is very sensitive, so it will definitely pick up another dog's bark. Time will tell how long the 9v batter lasts, but so far so good!
