I have both this and a 2 year old Coleman folding tent. They work exactly the same but have some notable differences. Price: about the same Airflow: I have mixed feelings about both tents - the Coleman has large mesh vents on the top to allow heat to escape and a nice view of the sky. However, the bottom of the tent has ZERO airflow, which can result in high temperatures on hot California days. The Eackrola has large mesh doors at the front and back that allow the wind to pass through (when the tent is properly oriented). ). But since the upper isn't mesh, you can't see the sky as well as you can on the Coleman. This has the benefit of probably being better protected from rain, but it also allows condensation to collect along the roof. Pockets: Coleman has a large mesh pocket for storage. Eackrola has a little one on the side. Rain: I feel like Eackrola since the front and back doors are fully latched there could be a possibility of rain water getting into the tent. However, a spray test showed that the tent stayed remarkably dry. It might not withstand a downpour, but that's not what these pop-up tents are designed for (or snow) anyway. Deployment: Both deploy quickly. Throw and use in the air. Anchor your tent and guy lines to keep the wind out. Be sure to get a tarp that is slightly smaller than the tent floor to prevent water from pooling and most importantly to prevent sharp objects from poking through the tent floor. Packing: Both fold the same way. Coleman has a great YouTube video showing how to do it. The tent also has a few pictures printed on the tote bag, although this is difficult to trace. I use a modified Coleman technique that works very well. To do this, place the tent between your legs and then fold the canopy down and in like a breaking wave. I'll try to illustrate this with pictures, but you should find and practice the Coleman pop-up tent video on YouTube. Eacrola gives no indication. Eventually the two tents got into a fight and I decided to give Coleman to my brother. The Eackrola convinced me a bit with the large grille doors for better cooling, although my brother said he felt comfortable in the Coleman.
