The Vitamix blender itself has 5 stars; We have a large family and use the blender at full capacity 5 or 6 times a week, a workload that burns out smaller blenders in a matter of weeks. This replacement blade assembly looks like a poorly repaired item as it was noisier than the original from day one and failed after 5 months due to a jagged piece of metal sticking out of the bearings. It worked reasonably well for those 5 months, but the original endured many years of heavy use before finally failing. We have attempted to replace this blade multiple times and none of the replacements have lasted more than a few months; We gave up trying to fix the problem and instead bought a brand new bowl straight from the Vitamix.
