I am very impressed with this line of sketchbooks. I'm looking through tons of sketchbooks as well as individual sheets of paper - watercolor, mixed media, canvas paper (for crayons and oil paints), etc. and I was blown away by how good the paper was in this album. It even worked. for alcohol markers - by mixing! - and I didn't expect that at all, because normally multi-layered papers don't absorb alcohol markers so well because they are too absorbent. For some reason this paper worked well with all mediums I used - watercolor (not as vibrant as traditional watercolor paper but the watercolor dried and granulated well!) but I was able to shade on this paper, so that's a huge bonus.), inks and acrylics. I haven't tried oil paint, but I don't usually use sketchbooks for this. And besides paper that accepts all types of media, the magazine is beautifully made and well packaged, including an information leaflet and even a small sticker. but I could shade on this paper so that's a huge bonus.), inks and acrylics.
