Good choice for the construction site

I am a general contractor in the housing industry. My current project requires me to cut 20' and 24' dimensional lumber. I used to use one of those single roller racks that fold up whether you like it or not. I wanted something safer, more durable, more predictable. From the options I decided to experiment with the Fox Roller Table. I think that this equipment may be suitable for both construction and light industrial enterprises and warehouses. I was a bit skeptical at first but thought it was a good investment. First the positive comments. Because it's a multi-roller table rather than a single roller, the work lies flat and doesn't wobble. It is easy and effortless to move the work piece under the saw and back. I don't worry about accidents with this table. Now the neutral comments. There are no spacers in the design, so it flexes a lot under torsion and can break. With extreme lateral loads, the legs can collapse. I wouldn't call it heavy duty but the design is light to medium weight. Second, the device came partially assembled. Due to construction, however, it was further dismantled during transport. After some time of assembling everything seems fine and will hold up. The height is adjusted using clamps around the tube legs. Clamps are made of plastic, service life unknown. Third, I was hoping for a structure that can be quickly dismantled for storage and transportation around the site. However, this table requires some patience to adjust the height and level, and it does not fold for storage. Instead, I installed it on a flat board and just left it in place. In any case, this compromise has turned out to be the most convenient for me. This roller table was therefore a good choice for secondary work on my flat construction site.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
