Review on SABRE Wired Water Leak Flood Alarm 🌊 Sensor: 110 dB Siren & DIY EASY Installation by Mark Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Dude, that thing is LOUD! It's also far more versatile than any I've seen.

I've tried many different water detectors over the years and this is by far my favorite. Key features include: - When activated, the alarm will lock out and the alarm will continue to sound even if it has been in contact with water for only a short time. All other alarms I've tried stop once the water is removed. There is an on/off switch. The switch is required to turn off the alarm and is also used if the alarm should not be ready when moving or storing. - The alarm level can be set to LOUD or VERY LOUD. - There is a test button that shows if the alarm is on and active and the battery is good. That feature alone is worth it.- A wired sensor isn't as easy to deploy when you just need to determine if there's water on the floor or in a container. There are devices like this that work well for a "set it and forget it" basement leak detection situation. But a separate probe makes this block much more versatile in placement. For example, the sensor can be placed in the drip tray and the control unit can be placed in a convenient location to control the alarm. The alarm tone is a trill that is difficult to set. Continuous audio alerts are easy to miss as they are just background noise. The only way I can think of to improve this device is to select a VERY LOUD or intermittent beep, such as: a smoke detector low battery alarm when the water situation requires attention but is not an emergency. Even at a lower volume setting, this thing is so loud you'll want to turn it off as soon as possible.
