I've been looking for a small battery powered polisher since I first saw the Milwaukee introduced model for the M12 cordless tool line. I really liked this tool, but I couldn't justify spending nearly $200 on a tool I would use very rarely. I've had a few small jobs and when this polisher became available I thought I'd give it a try. I'm used to using professional 7 inch polishers so I knew what I needed from a polisher. I know I need good speed control to apply polish, finish and buff. I also know you want high torque motors to get the most out of foam pads and polishes. Foam pads create a lot more drag so torque is really required to deliver smooth movement without clogging the buffer head. This little polisher worked great. The variable speed you get from the trigger is very nice, crisp so you can easily hold a slow speed. One of the biggest complaints is that the storage bag is just a bag. No internal compartments or dividers everything is just thrown into the bag and this creates some problems with keeping the grinding wheels and pads organized and free from damage and warping. Milwaukee price, good buy.
