You might think a card reader would be a bargain, but not in this case. I bought these and plugged them in for the first time only to get a message saying my card could not be read and needed to be scanned. So I did, assuming it was a one-time issue - WRONG - every time I plug this reader in it either asks for a media scan, doesn't get recognized, or has the computer beeping the entire time like it's constantly on - and unplug! Thought it was the drivers I tried updating them but Windows said they were up to date. Thinking it might be the card I've tried THREE different cards since then but that was it not the case. I checked my USB drivers and even checked for pending PC updates - NO, this reader is just a DUD. I send back!
