I wasn't expecting great sound quality but I was expecting the speakers to be a bit louder than my laptop's built in speakers. They weren't. Hand back. The only advantage is the fact that you don't need a separate power supply. But what's the point if you don't have volume? The volume control on the speakers essentially matches the volume control on the computer; it is not an independent and separate volume control for the speakers themselves. It says "works with Windows Vista" on the box. While it works with Windows 7, it might work better with Vista. Other than that, I don't understand why this product gets such good reviews. However, I like Logitech. I use one of their models with a subwoofer for my TV and get great sound. And the Logitech Z130 are great low-budget speech speakers. (not sure about the music). After they didn't live up to my expectations, I immediately bought two Z130s from another site as Revain no longer sells them. Very happy with the Z130.
