Even though the speaker is listed as 'Waterproof' it doesn't say anything about waterproofing let alone waterproofing. After taking it apart (to make sure it's waterproof as advertised) I found 3 distinct flaws: 1) There is no gasket or gasket between the two halves, making it easier for water to get in. 2) No moisture barrier. between the speaker's paper cone and the holes in the front of the plastic case. 3) The wire goes through a fairly large hole with a simple strain relief knot (no grommet to keep water out). This is a blatant lie. call it "waterproof". This is problematic for me because I wanted it to be integrated with my home intercom/hands-free kit, but now I'm not sure. Sure, it has a great price, but why lie about it?
