Review on 🧶 Modern Vintage Knits: Timeless Designs with a Contemporary Twist by Linda Diaz

Many books like to call their patterns "vintage" without understanding the word. The patterns in this book are really vintage, classic patterns, often with a modern twist, but things that you can wear for a long time. I've made two patterns so far, a scarf and a sweater with a Faire Isle yoke on the cover and they turned out great! The instructions are concise and well worded. It's very easy to understand. The explanation of the shortened rows in the yoke is the best I've seen. I bought this for a Brigid jacket sample but I liked so many things here I'm still keeping it in my queue. Definitely a book with many attractive working models, to expand your wardrobe for years to come. I already bought it for a friend and she still loves it! If I have one complaint, it's that there are no male models here. Not that I think it should be in every knitting book, but I love the patterns here so much I'd love to see what these ladies can do with a good man's cardigan or sweater.
