Easy installation. Simply place the cover against the base of the mirror INSIDE the car, it is triangular in shape; Once opened, find 3 screws and a locking plug, remove everything and use a small flathead screwdriver to gently press the cable connector locking tab and remove the mirror housing. The unit comes with new gaskets (foam) with glue. Make sure they match and install the new mirror, connect the wiring, screws, cap and cap. That's all. If you lose the plastic plug that sits inside next to the screws, don't worry, there are more than enough screws to hold the mirror securely. Hope that helps.
