The disappointment is complete, the product is not at all what I imagined.

In the year 2022, I went to a major retail chain store and bought a camera. At a temperature of +26 degrees, I tried the camera in my house; the original SDSQXA1-256-GN6MA memory card worked perfectly (recommended by GoPro itself). While recording in 4K at 60 frames per second, the write time is limited to 10 minutes before being stopped due to overheating. 2K at 120 frames per second for a total of 8 minutes before editing. Due to the fact that in the sun this time will be shortened by a factor of two, this information did not sit well with me at all. In accordance with the terms of the warranty, I returned the camera to the retailer; but, after waiting for two weeks, I came to the realization that the problem had not been verified. In addition, after careful observation and experimentation, we were able to determine that the GoPro 9's retractable legs generate hot air that flows downward from the edge of the device. As a consequence of this, the camera cannot be placed on a level surface while also being housed in a separate case (so far, shockproof cases and aquaboxes). At the camera, make sure that the legs are extended and that there is space for heat to escape. I carried out the tests without first repairing the camera; instead, the camera merely sat on the table, which prevented the heat from being dissipated in the typical manner. After inverting the camera, the hot air began to rise without any complications, and we were able to record a 4K video at 60 frames per second for a full 16 minutes. In the first picture, a thermogram of the inverted GoPro 9 can be seen. It reveals that the temperature reached 57.1 degrees Celsius in the region of the legs after 14 or more minutes of shooting. The temperature on the second photo camera located on the front side (after 15 minutes) reached 57 degrees Celsius. After 16 minutes, the camera automatically shut off. Every thermogram is produced by a professional instrument that includes a verification process. Because of this, the camera was not replaced under the terms of the warranty, and the flaw was not identified. Another issue is that the temperature is too high. It is completely and utterly impossible to shoot (the camera overheats in all "heavy" modes, 1080 and 60 frames normally pulls, 1080 240 frames shoots for 17-19 minutes and turns off due to overheating). I've owned previous GoPros, but none of them gave me such trouble with overheating on a regular basis. But, if you shoot outside when the temperature is between 0 and 15 degrees, you probably won't notice this issue.

Pros
  • Stability (certainly better than go pro 8 and dji osmo action) (definitely better than go pro 8 and dji osmo action) A photograph taken during the daytime is one example of the general advantages (but without the WOW effect)
Cons
  • Heating (when shot in 4k, 60 frames are trimmed off after 10 minutes) (when shooting in 4k, 60 frames are cut down after 10 minutes). Read on for further explanation. Brake menu (although can be configured via mobile phone) Evening and nighttime shooting takes place (very noisy)
