I'm a last mile biker and love this light. I've had it for a few weeks now so can't speak to long battery life etc but here's what I like so far: Light patterns and brightness options are second to none on any tail. light, not to mention the price. To be honest I use the rainbow pattern with a smooth transition because I think it's a work of art, but I also like how bright it is and a colleague told me he really noticed it from afar. I've noticed that the flashing blue and red pattern slows traffic (on the road I'm on, which skirts a residential area, people usually drive twice as fast), but I'm afraid I'll be fined when I use it because I look too much like a cop. I like the 12th option pattern, so I figured I'd have to press the power/select button 12 times every time I turned it on (like pretty much every other light). which only has one button), so I was glad it remembers the pattern you chose every time you turn it on! I take the base and flashlight (or detach the flashlight from the base) but I just leave my flashlight strapped to the backpack handle so I don't have to worry about a thing. I also like the swivel that allows you to orient it vertically or horizontally and both the base and swivel stay in place once you install it. I don't have to charge yet. I'm curious how long this will last me. Before I have to charge it.
