Review on πŸ”Œ INNOMAX Thunderbolt Adapter: Gray MacBook Device Accessory for Efficient Memory Card Usage by Vivek Allen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty disappointing so far. but the support solved the problem.

Updated original post: Apparently I didn't have a suitable power supply for this device. I had several, but none of them provided the exact amperage to meet my needs. With the help of very friendly and enthusiastic tech support people they sent a link to something they recommended would work and for another $9 I was able to get a power supply that works great and now it works with external USB devices so far without problems. . If this changes I will update this. I have changed the rating to 4 stars and probably would have given 5 if the product had a clearer explanation of what I need in addition to proper nutrition or if such a device was included in the future. . Personally, I think that for the price, the extra $5 they might incur for the cost could be passed on to the buyer and the buyer would be even happier. I'm still awaiting a response from the manufacturer, but for now only three USB ports can be active at all times when connected to a 2019 iMac 5K with Mojave and 40GB of storage. If I plug a fourth device, whatever it is, into a different port, the three existing USB devices unceremoniously disconnect with an on-screen warning. If I connect an external power supply to the 5V connector, it doesn't matter. If the USB devices have their own power supply, it doesn't matter. Changing the ports doesn't change anything. Apparently three is the maximum. The power indicator is blue and solid, and with three devices it seems pretty happy and stable. When I try to insert an SD card, the card never mounts (tried several), although the blue light for the SD card slot lights up when one is inserted, and of course if three USB devices are already inserted, they are with special needs. Is it broken? Or something else?
