I don't know why they put very short rods. When you put the two pieces together you have 9 inches from the divider to the yoke. This means that the length of the axle shaft must not exceed 20cm (leaving room for the center bolt of the main fork). Which axle shaft have you ever heard of if it is only 20 cm long? Well, for about 30 years, Ford rear axle shafts were about 30 inches long. I had to buy the right size 72" threaded rod to match the threads in the splitter. Then I had to cut it in half to get the two pieces needed to overlap between the splitter and the yoke. It would have been better if this item had been offered as a kit with just the splitter and zip ties as shipping could be overpriced if long threaded rods were included.
