Not so hard mode. on steering and suspension tools

The first version did the job. Cheap nuts are stripped straight away. The document says the warranty is 1 year, but the one-page documentation doesn't say anything about how to get a replacement. It is designed for 5 tons. I'm pretty sure it isn't. I will apply for a replacement. If they respect the substitution, I'll raise the stars.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Complete scrap good for wheel bearing tools

This thing is scrap! It broke after 2 minutes. I went to remove the bearing and then I found the damn thing was broken. I could see if I was using an impact wrench or something, but I used a 3/8 ratchet with a 17mm socket. I had maybe 10 ft lbs of torque and the linkage broke in half, not to mention the bearing was already broken from overtightening the splitter.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • bad instructions

Great set, it has everything I expect from it.

Great kit everything I expected. The parts were well oiled when they arrived so I had to spend some time cleaning them up, but other than that this thing works great. The smaller puller is a bit larger than I expected so be sure to measure up and make sure this thing fits you before you buy it.

I was thrilled when I received it and did it.

I was thrilled when I received it and it did the job of removing the gearbox bearing from the gearbox. I used it today (even a month later) to remove a new bearing I put on a new gear. One of the threaded ends of the hex legs has broken off into the puller jaw and both of the screws holding the jaws together are now bent. Yes, and the bearing stayed on the gear. :/

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Works but poor quality tool

I was a bit disappointed with this tool. Cast plates had obvious flaws. Low quality. I actually bent the thread on the vertical part. Still works but could be a little better quality steel. To use it to pull a bearing on a hollow shaft, like I did when repairing an 8.25" GM front differential, you'll need a piece of steel to give the puller something to press on. I used a few heads but would appreciate a kit with some adapters. You definitely get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Boring packaging

They started to build a good instrument

They tried to make good things but gave up in the end. Not sure why, but the nuts that come with them are so light and cheap that they just pop out of the threads when you try to tighten a tight bearing. I went to the hardware store and bought a brand new set of nuts for it and now it works great. I don't know why they do everything else well and then skimp on nuts. Another oddity is that the clamps have nuts on both sides (four total), most others use a solid bolt so there are only two nuts in

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • So far so good

Pull rods too short

I don't know why they put very short rods. When you put the two pieces together you have 9 inches from the divider to the yoke. This means that the length of the axle shaft must not exceed 20cm (leaving room for the center bolt of the main fork). Which axle shaft have you ever heard of if it is only 20 cm long? Well, for about 30 years, Ford rear axle shafts were about 30 inches long. I had to buy the right size 72" threaded rod to match the threads in the splitter. Then I had to cut it in half
