Different uses of frying pans.

We have a gas stove. Spills and splashes from a burner often end up on an unused burner. Somehow we got some CHEFMADE mini cake pans and used them upside down to protect unused burners. (Above the burner and below the grate.) Yes, you'll have to remove it before you can use the burner, but it certainly saves cleaning up later. We recently had to replace 3 of the 5" pans but have not been able to find any 7" pans yet. The new ones are bright and shiny and should last for years.
