Review on πŸ’¨ High-Speed Transfer Adapter for MacBook Devices by Brandon Wynen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Like most Chinese-made products, this one is far from ideal

Although not mentioned in the text description, this adapter has a small blue LED on one side - see photo 4. There is a white dot next to the USB Type-C connector in the picture. The LED lights up while the adapter is connected to the USB Type-C port. It does not flash during data transfer. As expected, with a Kingston microDuo flash drive plugged in, the read speed was 121 MB/s (nearly 1 Gb/s). Unfortunately, there is no suitable device to confirm USB 3.2 Gen2x1 10Gb/s performance. According to the packaging, the maximum output current is 2.1 A. The adapter was developed in Hong Kong. Made in China. There is a lot of printing on the packaging. Also, I couldn't find this adapter on the qumox.com manufacturer site, so I give this device 3 out of 5 stars.

Pros
  • Data transfer rate up to 10Gbps Fast USB-C to USB Adapter
Cons
  • Non-Automatic
