We have a cold pipe under our basement due to high winds blowing through a lack of venting nearby. I had to crawl through several times to thaw the pipes and fix the ventilation. Also during this period of cold weather I had to go upstairs to check on the unheated 2nd floor with a bathroom. I bought these and put one under the house near the water tank, one on top of the bathtub and the last one in the fridge. I was surprised that this works in a metal fridge. Now my wife says that I need another weather station in addition to the outdoor weather station. . . .
