They are not what I expected. I used to have brush pens, but they had a hard flexible tip. These are real brush pens that look like a brush, meaning the color will streak. I would only take them again if I had a pure color and not to be used separately. You can't use them for subtle coloring or lettering, but I think they'll work well on larger projects. The glitter effect is nice - more like glitter than real glitter. The colors (magenta, petrol, violet) are very bright and strong. You also need to follow the instructions for these pens to work, you need to refill them in a specific way (instructions are on the box).
