This is a great product that falls into the 'why no one has thought of this' category. We had to put a safe on the door of an elderly relative living alone so emergency services could quickly access it in an emergency. You see a lot of these vaults in Florida. The problem is that they tend to hang on the doorknob, getting in the way and serving as a constant reminder of uncomfortable possibilities. This nifty bracket allowed us to hang the drawer at the top of the door without it getting in the way. The metal hinge is large enough to accommodate the drawer latch, with the added benefit that the natural V-groove appears to hold the drawer securely in place where it won't rattle as the door opens and closes. The metal is strong; I'm sure someone could cut it with the right tools, but it would be easier for them to smash the lock so the strut passes the system's vulnerability test. Best suited for lockers intended for casual emergency use rather than everyday use as the shackle lifts the locker at the top of the door.
