I recently bought this spinning mat because it had good reviews. I must also add my good rating. I bought 17 x 17 which I think is a good size for all purposes. This is a very good cutting mat made of high quality materials. I like the way it spins. Not so much that it gets out of control when you cut into it like it does with another mat I have. But it's also easy to rotate when you need it. I love the level of marking on the mat and foam, but the grippy backing is perfect for keeping the mat in place while cutting. I had no problems with the carpet smell. I am very satisfied with this carpet and can only recommend it.
