McCarthy as secret blacklist

This would be a five star product if it weren't for McCarthy's blacklisting and Roku Support's ignorance of diagnosing it. Happened to me that I couldn't add the channels I wanted to Roku - Premier, Pluto to name a few. I called Roku Support who helped me turn Roku back on and then did a factory reset. After that didn't work, a Roku support rep over the phone said the Roku Stick was broken and told me to ask Revain to replace it. I couldn't believe it, read more about the issue online and instead deleted and re-created my Roku account. In combination with the new account, I was able to add the programs I needed. So it looks like my account needs to be marked as non-US, which prevents me from adding programs that only users in the US (which I am) are allowed to use. But of course there was no indication of this source of error either in the error message (just "failed") or on the Roku website. And since Roku support couldn't diagnose this either or want me to know (secret blacklist?) but would instead send me on a wild goose hunt to replace hardware, this is a huge source of frustration with the product that leads to my star. After all, a product is a flash drive plus an account for getting software. Or rather, DO NOT RECEIVE THE PROGRAM. To figure out why this might have happened to me, I can only speculate: I had another Roku stick before it was linked to my account, and when I created the Roku account, I didn't enter an address or balance. Card number but only added Netflix which worked well and I never tried to add more channels at the time. And this first Roku is included in my kit for use in hotels during business trips. When I recently cut my cable with my excellent but overpriced cable provider and decided to buy a second Roku and set it up in place of my cable box, I updated my account with my address and credit card number. I don't know if my account was already hidden as a non-US account because it was originally created without valid US credentials (address, payment) or because I had the first Roku flash drive in a non-US hotel an international business trip (where Netflix on Roku worked really great). When I first tried to link a second Roku flash drive, I had already entered valid US credentials into my account, but that didn't help. It just recreated the account. The whole experience is so frustrating because otherwise the Roku Stick is absolutely easy to use, better than the basic fire sticks in my opinion, but such a big bug in user diagnostics that Roku doesn't fix is just amazing.
