I bought these 5 smoke alarm kits specifically for a 10 year old battery because I was going to fit it for my aunt (she is almost 90) and literally 2 weeks later she called, we were startled because he beeped. When I checked, according to the manual, the reason was that the battery had expired (it was supposed to last 10 years) and you can't charge or replace the battery, so now you have a piece of junk. ** ***Upgrade*****The company contacted me and sent a replacement while all 5 I bought are working fine so please upgrade to 3 stars.
