When I was a homeowner, there were a lot of repairs that would’ve been cheaper to fix had I had this gadget! This borescope is very lightweight; you can take it anywhere and the camera line is sturdy and well-insulated. You have a sufficient length of line that you can run the camera down a long pipe or a duct to see the root of the problem; in other words, this is an item that is great for home use and by repairman for houses/apartments, but it can be used in a commercial or industrial situation depending on how much length you need.This unit is rechargeable and when you open up the package, there is enough charge in it so that you can try it out by simply pressing the ON button. But I strongly recommend that you read the instructions to understand the features. For example, it took me a while to find the place where you could insert the charging cord and find the TF card slot; if I had just read the instruction booklet, it wouldn’t have been such a mystery. As you can see in the photo, the unit comes with a small TF card, which leads me to the fact that it can record video and take photos to be uploaded to a computer with a card reader, but can also upload with USB cord. As for video/picture quality, it’s not exactly the same type of quality that you would see if you were using an iPhone, for example. But the picture quality is good enough so that you can see whatever is in front of the camera with some maneuvering of the firm but flexible line.I didn’t realize how handy this item is until my garbage disposal crapped out on me. I was trying to see if my garbage disposal was the same that was for sale at Home Depot. But the label for the disposable was facing the wall and I wasn’t interested in crawling underneath the sink. So I got the borescope, adjusted the flexible camera line, and voila! I was able to see the label without getting on my back to crawl under a messy, wet sink.Overall, this borescope has endless uses that are not just repair related, but for any time you need to see what’s going on in a tight space or a space that isn’t accessible.
