Fairly good kit for determining the nitrate level in sea water. It uses a different reagent system than most other nitrate tests, so it's a good confirmatory test if you have questions about the results of another kit. Like most nitrate tests, it has limited sensitivity on the low end; For example, it is difficult to distinguish a nitrate reading of 0.25 from 0.75. If you are dosing carbon, this can be important. The best low nitrate test kit for hobbyists is probably the Red Sea. Hach also makes one that seems to work great in my hands, although the instructions say it's not intended for saltwater use.
