Well. I was sharpening my kitchen knife, dropped it and almost lost my toes. This sharpener can sharpen more than a normal person's ability not to cut off an appendix. I mean, one punch and there's an arm or a leg sticking out or something. It can sharpen a knife to the point that I think a lightsaber would do the same amount of damage. This shouldn't be sold to the majority of the population as I envision a whole civilization without fingers, toes and other things. On the other hand, I love that the tomato slices are translucent and can fly off the plate in strong winds. I also like that after using this sharpener I can crack atoms with the edge of the blade. I personally find the ability to make kitchen knives sharper than a scalpel very handy in case I need to perform an emergency appendectomy in the kitchen. YES IT WORKS. BE CAREFUL
