Use professional stones. Simply remove the spring and washer at the end of the handle and add a 1/4" washer. Get the best allen wrench to tighten the blade holder, it's easier for your hands.

I had to adjust two parts of the sharpener to make it work. The small screws holding the blade keep falling out after a short time. I accidentally dropped a rock and it broke. I would not recommend that.

This product really works, but it's difficult to assemble. No written instructions, just photos showing where many of the little details actually belong. Assembly requires some trial and error. After assembly, however, it works quite well.

Full Disclosure: I used a larger clip than the one included in the kit and also installed the levels app on my phone before using it for the first time. Mounted on a sturdy workbench and it works as well if not better than sharpening systems 10 times the price! (more stable) Easy to install and use, GREAT results right out of the box! 6 stars with 2 updates above.

Doesn't hold knife tight enough to prevent slipping and over tightening can damage the blade holder. If you're trying to sharpen shorter, narrower knives, e.g. B. paring knife, stones in the blade holder can get caught in the blade holder. (This happens when the blade is seated low enough in the holder to ensure a good grip on the blade.) Longer knives tend to slip in the knife holder.

It doesn't have room for your phone or anything to lean against so it's difficult to get the right angle and if you can set it to the right angle when you put it in when you put your knife insert into the clamp and tighten, the blade will rise 3-10 degrees, so the angle will not be correct. So if you stick with the factory edge of 30 and want to set it to 30, that's going to be a larger angle and will mess up your edge a bit and you'll have to spend hours sanding until it's even and at the…

Although it's a bit confusing when you arrange the contents, once assembled it's a damn good sharpener. Crate. We know that these knives are always dull, cut little and full of rust.
