I (now) wear 33x30 jeans. I ordered a large short one but it was too tight especially with the lining. I put the blouse on by the leg and found that it was a bit short and the waist was too small. I went for the next larger size which was also 1/2 longer in the pants (short XL), the company accidentally sent me the normal size XL. It turns out to be the right size. I can wear this liner inside or outside and use it like over a pair of pants. The extra length goes great with the boots when in the riding position. You lose about $5 each time you return a pair, but it's still a lot and they seem really well made. I'll report back after the season. I like them so much that I could choose a jacket. As the pants reviews suggest they run small so I'll take the XL and see how it performs. Update - I drove today and it was 49 degrees. I wore them and jeans and my feet never got cold. Now that I've worn them a few times they are starting to shrink and feel more comfortable. Really great pants for cool weather.
