Review on Premium Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition Kitten Dry Cat Food: Complete Nutrition for Growing Kittens by Heidi Jenkins

I volunteer at a local animal shelter and often buy this to promote the welfare of little kittens. This brand is known for quality products. I buy the same brand for my cat and see the same thing. Sometimes when I buy food, the kitten jumps on it and eats with pleasure, and they are healthy and wonderful. Other times they'll throw out food even if they eat it to begin with and all goes well, and then just one bag is bad and all the kittens that eat it will throw it up. It can't be if the cat changes the food and the bacterial flora in the stomach has to adapt, etc. There has to be something in the food. I see an identical situation with my cat who is fed a different Royal Canin food. I see that everything is great for a while, and then suddenly a bag goes bad. When I feed from another bag again. All is well. then I switch to the bad, and here it is again. I couldn't help but conclude that the product is simply incompatible. This has been going on for a while, and every four or five bags there will be a bust. I've learned to buy in batches and when I have a good batch I always put a few bags aside for a while when I come across a bad one. one, so I'll just switch to "tried and true" until I buy the next good batch, which of course will be. The reason is that the pieces are small and I think the big pieces of other brands are bad for cats teeth and stomach, so here we are. Anyway, overall Royal Canine is a good brand and I've been using them for my cat and animal shelter donation for many years. Just be prepared and have a backup in case of inconsistencies. I think it's very important to have a reserve as obviously something is upsetting the cat's stomach when the batch is weaned and you don't want your kitty to get sick and all. It's very frustrating when your cat suddenly refuses food or throws up, panicking and looking for a different brand or food for no apparent reason, and you and the cat are both upset. So my advice to you is backup. Always have a pair of good back pieces that have worked. You will definitely need them to ride the poor quality wave.
