UPDATE: May 23, 2015 -- As many have complained, while these lights work great under cabinets, these lights are difficult to attach to the underside of cabinets. The original glue didn't last long. Then we tried double-sided tape. NO. Then double-sided foam tape. NO. We decided we didn't get the foam tape close enough - added more to fill in the gaps. NO. Tried low temp hot glue. Something held, then NO. Apparently the light heats up enough to release this glue. I hated using high temp hot glue. I was afraid it would damage the headlights. So we tested it on a strip sample. The lightweight material didn't melt, so we held our breath and used it all over the strip. It lasted. We waited because nothing lasted more than a few days, and all of these attempts lasted several months. We waited a little longer. It's been about a month and they're still operating. I think we finally found the answer. So if you like lights too but are disappointed that they don't glow. If you've tried everything (sand the bottom of the cabinets thoroughly, wipe down with soap and water, rubbing alcohol, etc. etc.), if all else fails, you can try hot glue. Try it out on a sample of your light strip first. Make sure it doesn't melt. If everything is good, then it's worth a try. BUT - don't blame me if it doesn't work. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: : ::::::::::::::::: We ordered 5050/300 LED lights a few months ago. Now that they're finally installed, I love them. I spent a lot of time researching which lamps to order, including the white I needed. I read MANY reviews. I ended up ordering this set, not just because it was the white color I wanted, but because it was a complete set. My husband had no trouble installing them. He plugged them into the same power source as the fluorescent lights over the sink. Turning on the fluorescent light also turns on these LEDs. One roll was about 6 inches short to wrap my entire kitchen. The immediate response was Oh, Ahh. Then the headlights started flickering. Based on the reviews, he cleaned the bottom of the closets very carefully. After they started falling off, he cleaned the spot again and even sanded the bottom of the cabinets to try to get some of the shine off. Still fallen. We tried wall putty. Soon they fell again. We used Double Scotch brand tape (because we had it). Lasts longer than a wall nail, but not for long. I ended up going to Walmart and buying double sided tape. I didn't want to use it full width (3/4") because it was about twice as wide as the lighter tape and I didn't want food and dirt sticking to the extra width. as wide as light tape and attached them about every 1/2 to 3/4" apart on the light tape. It worked and they haven't fallen off since this foam tape was applied. I will be ordering this light set again as a Christmas present for my daughter's kitchen and will definitely do recommend.
