I added a small audio mixer to the camera to mix sound from a wireless microphone as well as a local wired microphone . The wireless mic receiver has a 1/4-20 hole to attach it to anything, but it didn't come with the hardware to attach it to anything. My audio mixer, which attaches to a hot shoe on top of the camera, has a long cold shoe-sized slot on each side, plus one on top. One of these adapters allows me to add a wireless mic receiver to the side of my audio mixer, and I have a few spares in case I decide to hook up something else in a villa like this.
