I've been using these for a few days on a home wiring project using 14/2 gauge wire. The biggest problem I encountered is the locking mechanism. I have pretty big hands and I keep squeezing the latch when I'm stripping wires. This prompted me to cut and hammer the wire. An accidental scratch resulted in part of the wire breaking when I twisted the two wires together. I also see marks on the cutting edge which makes me question the durability of the torch. They might work for very thin wires, but I wouldn't recommend using them for home wiring projects.
