I'm grateful that Edimax uses Ralink and its open source driver. However, I was also hoping that Edimax would be friendlier to Linux newbies. First, Linux is not mentioned in the installation manual or on the CD. The only mention of Linux is on the buggy box Mandrake (Mandark). The installation CD does not work on Linux. I browsed the folders on the CD and found the fedora driver folder. I extracted the file and it turned out that there are no drivers in the kit. I had to go to Ralink to download the driver. The install guide didn't work, so I took a few lines from the Ubuntu blog. This didn't work either. Finally, the USB adapter is so wide that it takes up 2 spaces on my laptop or my hub. Suggestions: 1. Please make the installation easy. 2. Provide additional documentation. If you're selling to Linux users, give us a helping hand. 3. Make a thinner model.
