I got this headset for free, as an application to the MatePad tablet: there was such a promotion at the Huawei store. At the same time, I already had excellent TWS format ears from JBL, so there is something to compare. And I’ll say right away that Huawei wins. But it's also half the price. The first impression is from the packaging and appearance of the charging box and the headphones themselves. Everything here is on top: high-quality plastic, glossy, in contrast to the matte JBL. I won’t say that they are better in shape, rather, they are typical. But the plus is that the box is thinner, although a little larger in diameter: it is more convenient to carry it in a bag and in a pocket. Also, a definite plus is that USB-C is used for charging: even if your phone is powered by microUSB for now, the future still belongs to the new USB standard. I consider the possibility of wireless charging to no less pluses: although so far I don’t have any other device that supports it, Huawei already produces models of phones and tablets that allow you to quickly “share” the charge. Samsung followed this scenario with its smart watch, and it's very convenient. Huawei still releases watches with wired charging, but I think the next generation will eliminate the need to carry extra wires and chargers with you. And, of course, the choice of a single brand also provides advantages for the headphones in question: they contacted the phone and tablet from Huawei almost automatically. With other phones, however, the headphones also connect well. And installing a special application Al Life allows you to customize the control methods, the level of noise reduction and perform firmware ates. For attention to ating devices, I especially respect Huawei from many years of experience in operating several phones. And the new headphones, after connecting to the phone, ated the firmware twice in a row!
