i had problems with my dell xps13. The keyboard backlight came on, but then went off and nothing showed on the screen. The only response I got from the tap was a horrible 3 amber + 5 white flashing lights that not even the Dell knows what that means. So I bought this product, a replacement battery which I am now returning as I no longer need it. I received the product, I connected it to my dellxps13, then I held down the function key + power off for 30 seconds. and so she went. The laptop has been on long enough for my BIOS to boot and update, and so far my laptop and charging cable are working fine. I saved some money because now I don't have to open my laptop and change the battery.
