This is a must have for our family of 4 cats, a dog and our new cream rug!

This product, along with Capture Carpet Cleaner Powder, was recommended to us by a person who installed our new light colored carpet wall to wall. He also loves animals and swears by this brand. We've found it works like magic. For cat pee, this works the same way hydrogen peroxide does for odor removal, but with less lightening (though still a little). This is the basic procedure we use that has proven reliable for cleaning up a pet poop: 1. Gather/remove whatever you can (with paper towels) that isn't already soaked in the carpet.2. Using 2-3 layers of paper towels, blot as much liquid off the carpet as possible while standing on the paper towels in hard shoes for about 10 seconds per area to soak up any liquid that has penetrated deep into the carpet. Repeat with clean paper towels until no more liquid comes out. 3. If there is still a lot of stickiness that won't come out, you can first use a sponge and water with a mild detergent to remove more (but I've been told detergents remove the protective layer on some carpets, so be careful) ; blot again with paper towels. Usually we skip this step.4. Spray Capture Pet Stain Remover liberally and leave on for 10 minutes (or longer with urine).5. If you have Capture Powdered Carpet Cleaner, also a great product, sprinkle it onto the pet stain remover to further absorb the stains from the carpet, leave for 30 minutes, then vacuum. If you don't have Capture Powder, simply stand on the stain with plenty of paper towels to soak up the liquid. I hope this helps those of you who are having trouble removing stains.
