Review on LiftMaster MYQ 819LMB Home Bridge by Bryan Covington

Update: I managed to get Home Bridge working after many hours of troubleshooting, so I'm updating my review. Ever since I got it working it has been buggy. For example, thinking it's open when it's closed, rendering the device inoperable. You just need to manually open/close the door to sync it back up. With that in mind, I think my rating should be 2 stars. Deducting 1 star for the crashes, 1 star for a very frustrating installation, and 1 star for the broken HomeKit.————I bought Garage Hub and Homebridge to get Apple HomeKit from my old school garage door. Bad idea! The garage unit worked great. Everything worked as expected from the MyQ app. When I went to install Homebridge, everything came out. Very disappointed. Installing Homebridge was a joke. This resulted in Apple HomeKit being able to see the hub but not being able to control the door or feel it open/closed. This then led to many hair-raising situations due to overly complicated post-processing. BUT the most interesting thing for me was that it actually overwrote all my previous HomeKit installs from other devices (which were fine installs btw) to HomeKit, wiping out the hours of work I had already put into my HomeKit app . boo! So now I'm left with the stupid MyQ thing that still doesn't work AND all my other HomeKit stuff is gone. Companies really need to spend more time testing their products before they go to market.
