Initially louder than the original fan. The old fan has a muffler that I was able to remove and install on the new one, which made a big difference, although not as quiet as the original. After 6 months I heard a slight clicking sound that changed with engine speed. I thought it was dirt so I took the fan off and cleaned the cavity. Came back a few weeks later. They opened it up again and there was nothing in the trash. Reinstalled and a few days everything was fine. Now, 10 months after the initial install, the clicking noise is very noticeable, but only after the fan has started and warmed up. If I turn it off and let it cool for a few minutes, I can quietly turn the fan back on for a few minutes, after which the noise comes back. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times and can't find anything in the cavity or impeller causing the clicking. This and the fact that the noise only occurs after it has been running for a while tells me that something inside the fan motor housing is causing the clicking. I am not satisfied and would not recommend it to other buyers.
