Ideal for gazebo

As written in other reviews they appear to be built to last. The wiring is heavy and the sockets appear to be brass (I'll find out in time). The rope is heavy enough that you have to use the holes in the vinyl above each socket to place a coat hanger (I used stainless steel screws to attach each socket to the wood structure). This chain contains seven 2-watt LED bulbs that look and feel like glass (some LED bulbs are made of plastic). Unfamiliar with the brightness of LED bulbs of this size, I tried seven sets of lights and thought I might buy another one if it wasn't bright enough. There is a male connector on one end of the cable and a female connector on the other, so they can be easily connected together. I bought these to create ambient light under a 10 x 14 pergola. I didn't want enough light for reading; rather just some atmospheric light. I have installed an LED dimmer in weatherproof electrical appliances in case they are too bright. I hung lights from the front of the pergola (five along the front beams and one on each side beam). Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised to see that the lights gave out just the amount of light I needed. When it's fully on, it's not too bright and not too dark. One caveat: With this particular set of seven bulbs, there are about three feet of wire between each light and the last light on either end and the plug or outlet. This means that when you connect the second set to the first, you'll have about six feet of cable between the first lights in the two connected strings to manage. Ideally, strings of lights can be constructed so that the length of wire is the same as that between any two lights in the string (about a meter). The wire between the lights is higher than the sockets on the pergola. In general I think you will be satisfied.
