I had trouble getting the 1/4 inch irrigation tube on it. They have two notches on each tube but I only managed to get the tube on the first one. They seem to be holding on. They are a good size with a large faucet handle which makes them easy to adjust. TO UPDATE. I live in southern Arizona. It's getting very hot. When I attached them in five places, the 1/4" pipe was warm, but I still couldn't get it past the first of the two notches on the inlet and outlet pipes. So like all other similar irrigation fittings I left it covering only the first notch. That was my fault. Two of the five valves I used became detached from the irrigation hose within two months resulting in water jets/pot flooding/wilted plants. Remember that for a reliable result you must place the irrigation hose on both barbs. Try as I might, I couldn't do it, so I'm forced to replace them with alternate valves I can fit.
