Review on 🥘 Efficient 5-Quart Stainless Steel Colander - Dishwasher Safe & Micro-Perforated: Bellemain by Joyce Cain

I bought this screen despite the terribly difficult problems some reviewers seem to be having.1. Knowing that the drained water collects around a solid base and can't go down the sink drain, I just move the strainer away from the sink to allow the water to run down the drain. Water not wanting to flow down the drain was a big problem, but I worked on it day and night and finally found an easy fix. ;)2. I've never had a problem with strainers for rinsing rice. because sieves are not suitable for washing rice. I use any regular pan for this. If you put a cup or two of rice in a pot and slowly pour water in, the rice will miraculously stay at the bottom of the pot while the water washes over it and runs down the sides. When I'm done with this rinse, I leave enough water in the pot to cover the rice half an inch deep, and then cook the rice. Yes I know. it sounds complicated. I am very happy with this sieve. and even happier that it didn't take me all day to solve these insurmountable problems with his help. I still have three hours to figure out how to unroll a kitchen towel. The strainer is perfectly balanced, nice and deep and dishwasher safe.
