Several times I had to press the outgoing laptop connector into place with a thin metal ruler after trying to insert the Optibay docking station in place of the DVD module. Suitable for cloning drives via SATA. But for permanent use - I doubt it. From the outside, you can't see how reliable the junction between the laptop and Optibay is. But the laptop's native DVD module, after the procedure described above, sits in place like clockwork. Yes, and the decorative bar at Optibay does not fit the Samsung from the word at all.
