GREAT ride/fly setup! Buy, you will like it!

Short Version: This seat is well built, strong, easy to assemble and easy to adjust. The customer service is amazing, really outstanding. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. So if you're going to buy a rig, buy this one. Even if you're trying to decide if you need an install, let me give you this advice: you need an install. Just buy it; You will not regret it. Longer Version: I've had this setup for about 18 months now. I bought it for both driving and VR flight with the Vive index. For cars I use fairly high end Fanatec bars/shifters/pedals and for airplanes I use Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS with Logitech pedals. I needed a setup where I could switch between these two modes without too much trouble. I did a lot of Googling and looked at over a dozen options, including several that cost over $1,000. Few of them seemed well adjusted for either activity, and even those who were adjusted seemed painful to switch. It had a snazzy design and great reviews, so I gave it a try. Since then I've been very impressed. First the kit: it's perfect. With an extension (more on that in a moment) it's perfect for both activities. One Grip Power Pedals/Steering Wheel Mounted; The flight pedals use the same mount, and the HOTAS (and shifter if I rarely use it) mount to the armrests of the chair with two handles each. I can switch between driving and flying in about 2-3 minutes, and any set I'm not using easily fits in a closet in the hallway. Whatever configuration I'm working in, it's totally reliable. The steering wheel was decently solid even before they sent me an improved mounting plate free of charge (again more below). There are also multiple positions for HOTAS (center/side stick) and shifter (left/right). The chair is comfortable, has tilt adjustment, and the position of the steering wheel and pedals are independently adjustable. It would have been easy to put everything together even without clear instructions with color photos; It's impossible to go wrong with this guide. They even included a "real" wrench, like the one I found in my tool box, rather than the one-off stamped scrap metal commonly found in such contexts. If I had been forced to find a complaint upon intensive interrogation, I would have asked for more lumbar support. But so far I haven't been forced into it (and I have a separate lumbar pillow) so I have no complaints. Now, speaking of customer service, these guys are amazing! Several reviews with similar praise definitely influenced my decision but even knowing that I was shocked. At the time of my purchase, the company said a height increase kit was "coming soon," and some reviewers said they were sent beta kits for testing. It worked great without the extension but I liked the idea of being 6 inches taller (especially for flying) so I emailed asking about the kit. The company replied to me the same day with a friendly email clearly written by a real person. ; He said they had the kit completed (it wasn't in beta anymore) and would be selling it soon, but he just went ahead and mailed me one for free. When it arrived it was easy to install and is a big improvement. During the flight. I guess they sell it now; If you use it for flying I highly recommend getting one, although it's about the same for driving anyway. Anyway, I'd happily pay the asking price for it, and I found it impressive just shipping it for free. Having already started an email conversation about the extension, after a few weeks of using the setup I made a few suggestions for future buyers such as either replacing a pair of allen keys with grips or just adding a few more of each .โ€ He wrote back saying it was a good idea and then just sent me a packet with extra allen keys and knobs! At one point he wrote to me that they had redesigned the steering wheel mount to be less resistant to unintentional tilt changes; he immediately sent an updated version free of charge. The old one didn't bother me much, but it had to be tightened very tight; The new one is much better and supposedly now enabled by default. So there are three different items that these nice people just wrapped up and voluntarily sent to me for free. I didn't even ask for two of them. It's amazing. Possibly the most impressive customer service I have ever seen. If you couldn't tell from the hardware I attach to this rig, I'm pretty adamant about things like that. Willing to spend four figures if I had to, I considered several options in this area. If this chair cost $1200 I would still say it's worth it. In earnest. But the good news is that it is not! That's a third of it! You can't afford not to buy this! are you still reading this Written as Faulkner for goodness sake! Stop reading and buy the rig!
