Battery life is very poor. In flashing mode I get a maximum of 2-3 hours of work. The documentation says it should work for 17 hours in this mode. The flashlight has a power button with a blue LED that turns red when the battery is low so you can see if it needs charging while disassembled. Unfortunately, the LED changes from blue to red shortly before the battery is empty. I recently drove with blue lights on for half an hour at the start of my trip and the lights were completely off and couldn't be turned on for more than a few seconds in the middle of my trip.
