A budget gamer's dream!

After buying several monitors, I stumbled across this particular ASUS monitor. I have to say I was initially skeptical about buying this monitor but I'm glad I did. When I opened the box, I received three monitor cables (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort) and a power cord with the device. They then give you a cable to plug your headphones into the back of the monitor (if needed). Finally, the kit includes a monitor and base with easy setup, as well as a manual and a copy of the warranty. There is also a cable management port behind the monitor, which unfortunately turned out to be too small with the lid closed so I had to keep it closed (couldn't keep the lid closed while the cables were coming through). The movements and monitor settings are easy to learn and use. In terms of image quality, I'm running an NVidia RTX 2060 GPU, so this monitor plugged in right away and started up with a pristine image as usual. Although the original function of this monitor is AMD Free-Sync, my G-Sync quickly identified this monitor and adjusted my image accordingly for desktop and gaming use. The highest frequency this monitor can handle is 165Hz and the lowest I could get is 60Hz. The highest resolution I could get with this monitor was 1920 x 1080p and the lowest was 800 x 600, which isn't the best for 2K or 4K users, but the picture quality still has smooth and vivid colors at other resolutions. Another thing I liked about this monitor is the brightness, color and shadow adjustments that you can make while using your desktop or while gaming. This is a curved monitor, so the display may differ from flat panel displays, but the image is smooth and focuses the eye more on the screen. Stereo sound from this monitor is decent, but it lacks bass, which might be an issue for some, although you can always tweak the sound. The monitor's side buttons are easy to navigate and use. There is also a control knob behind the monitor that allows you to navigate through the options menu more quickly. Even the power button is one touch on/off, simple/easy. My conclusion on this ASUS monitor is definitely a great buy for gamers on a budget or those looking for a curved monitor at a reasonable price. I will definitely refer to ASUS for future purchases of other products.
